Akhirnya setelah lama menanti, dapat juga minifigure Darth Maul daripada set Lego Star Wars 2017 Duel on Naboo. Ada kalanya saya lebih gemar dapatkan minifigure daripada set Lego daripada membeli minifigure sahaja daripada seller yang kadang kala menjualnya lebih mahal atau sama harga dengan set. Baru beli 2 minggu lepas, set ini agak menarik juga kerana mengandungi 3 minifigure watak utama dalam The Phantom Menace. Qui Gon Jinn, Obi Wan Kenobi dan Darth Maul. 

Terfikir beberapa idea daripada set ini untuk photography. Memerlukan sedikit beberapa DIY lighting bagi merealisasikannya. Apapun petang tadi telah cuba beberapa shoot.

Its fun when you have the idea and working hard on it in order to make it happen. The idea I get is from a fashion magazine. The photographer plays with lighting, using colour gel I guess. Lucky I do have 2 colour gel in my room. The red and blue. At first I wanted to use with my Lego, but while searching for the right minifigure, I saw my Star Wars Infinity 2.0 set. There are Darth Vader, Yoda, Luke Skylwalker, Boba Fett, and Obi Wan Kenobi. You can take a look at the set at this post :- Star Wars Infinity Set

I was like, hey lets try using that set to play with the lighting, starting with Darth Vader. Using with some black boards, 2 source of lighting, 2 colour gels of red and blue, and after some adjustment of the light position and the black boards, here's the result. Its Straight Out Of Camera. Almost, haha. Ya, the lightsaber I used photoshop to make it "laser look alike". I need to sharpen my skill with the photoshop. The lightsaber seems a bit dull. Well, it's homework I guess. Lets try with a different set up with the next figure. Yoda ! See you soon !

Mencuba setting yang baru untuk dapatkan kesan snow yang lebih natural. Secara keseluruhannya dapat effect yang dicari, cuma rasa tak sesuai untuk ambil full body sebab bahan snow di dasar tidak menjadi. Perlu cari bahan yang lebih sesuai. Bahan snow yang dijatuhkan perfect, tetapi kena cari idea untuk lebih halus mungkin kerana kelihatan bintik - bintik kasar. Mungkin perlukan satu lagi tripod dan shutter release supaya tangan lebih bebas untuk hasilkan effect snow yang lebih menarik. Apapun, menggunakan lens yang kurang sesuai turut memberikan effect yang kurang menarik. Menanti Macro Lens !

Another set up di kala keboringan. Just love the Hoth set up. Habis bertepung bilik, tetapi seronok bila lihat hasilnya. By the way, tetiba rasa tidak sabar nak tunggu Star Wars : Rogue One. Dengar kata Darth Vader sangat ganas dalam movie tersebut. Huu Hee..

Once dapat gaji rasa macam nak ke IKEA. Nak beli meja khas untuk set up sebegini. Mudah untuk kemas dan dibasuh. Currently pakai meja kerja, nak mengemas tu agak payah juga. Huuu...

Bila tidak dapat tidur, bermulalah otak ini mendapat idea yang menimbun hasil daripada pembacaan, pemerhatian cerita wayang, pemerhatian majalah, gambar - gambar di instagram dan lain - lain lagi. Terbaru rasanya ingin buat satu scene yang menggunakan pencahayaan pelbagai. Antaranya adalah Lightsaber, dan Darth Vader menjadi subjek utamanya.

Namun beberapa percubaan nampaknya gagal nampaknya. Antaranya adalah kerana :-

1. Editing lightsaber menggunakan photoshop masih tidak memuaskan
2. Editing kesan cahaya lightsaber pada objek nampak kurang realistik
3. Latarbelakang salji nampak plain white, kosong
4. Latarbelakang langit nampak terlalu gelap, kosong

Cara - cara untuk penambahbaikan, idea yang dapat

1. Search youtube untuk mendapatkan kesan lightsaber yang lebih menarik
2. Kesan cahaya lightsaber, menggunakan lampu led warna merah atau guna colour gel merah untuk dapatkan kesan yang lebih realistik berbanding photoshop
3. Menggunakan kertas hitam / batu untuk menambahkan kesan realistik salji seperti ada batu dan sebagainya
4. Menggunakan latar belakang berwarna kelabu berbanding hitam
5. Menggunakan aperture yang lebih kecil seperti 12-16 untuk mendapatkan background yang lebih realistik berbanding blur putih

Lepas raya nanti akan cuba penambahbaikan tersebut. Yang paling utama sekarang adalah untuk dapatkan lampu warna merah yang kecil. Hmm...
